NJPAC (New Jersey Performing Arts Center), based out of Newark, has announced that they will resume its performances on September 12. Until then, NJPAC has launched a virtual performing arts initiative called NJPAC In Your Living Room, which is a curated collection of past Arts Center performances, content from partners, educational videos for children and much more.

NJPAC insists that the show must go on, wherever you are located. Tune into live events, which include DJ dance parties, arts workshops and NJPAC Backstage celebrity interviews. Virtual performances this week include NJPAC Backstage Interview with Jazz Singer Samara Joy Mclendon, Wellness Wednesday with Dance Master Brandon Jones, and The New Best Practices: Leadership in a Time of Crisis.

Additionally, NJPAC has launched a series of events and initiatives focused on promoting racial equality in an effort to bring the community together, and to encourage everyone to take part in the movement to ensure civil rights for all. On their website, www.njpac.org, you can find resources that will guide you to take action, in the voting booth and elsewhere, and join conversations and discussions that can help educate on racial injustice issues.
