via 201 – The harvest season is the perfect time to pick your own perfect pumpkin and take in the view from an old-fashioned perch: sitting on a bale of hay in a wagon.
Fortunately, that form of transportation is still available at several Bergen County farms every October.
Some farms also have corn mazes (day and night!), freshly made doughnuts, and apple cider – both hot and cold.

Demarest Farms, 244 Wierimus Road, Hillsdale. A pumpkin-picking hayride – and be sure to enjoy a freshly made doughnut after the trip!
Depiero’s Farm, 300 W. Grand Ave., Montvale. Hail a hayride out to the pumpkin patch.
Secor Farms, 168 Airmont Ave., Mahwah. Hitch a hayride to the pumpkin patch and corn maze.
