Harvest, a farm to community center run by RWJBarnabas Health, is continuing its free weekly nutrition education series this July at its Newark location. The “More You Know” series runs every Wednesday from 12 to 1 pm and covers a different health topic each week, including salt intake, diabetes awareness, gut health, mental nourishment, and liver health.
The July schedule kicks off July 1 with “Be Smart with Salt,” followed by Diabetes Awareness on July 8, “Feeding Your Biome” on July 15, “Nourishing the Mind” on July 22, and Liver Health on July 29. The classes are designed for busy individuals who want to expand their knowledge of nutrition and separate fact from myth on common food topics.

Programs are free and open to everyone, though registration is required. In addition to the Wednesday series, Harvest also hosts Healthy Harvest Demos on Thursdays from 4 to 5 pm, a Feeding Your Baby series on Fridays at 11 am, and Senior Health and Wellness sessions on Tuesdays from 10 to 11 am. Seating is limited across all programs, make sure to register through RWJBarnabas Health’s website.
