Nimbus Dance’s perennial Jersey City Nutcracker is back, reports the Hudson Reporter! Presented for the first time ever at the new Nimbus Arts Center, Nimbus Dance will offer 12 performances of the quirky and lovable adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s timeless classic, which takes place in Jersey City and weaves together themes of magic, adventure, family, and friendship.
The highly acclaimed Nimbus Dance performs against a dazzling backdrop of full-scale sets and fantastical projections of illustrated scenes. Audiences are transported across the city – through parks, lively avenues, deserted alleyways, sewers (for an epic battle scene!) and back to the City Hall, with surprises, cheer, and a message of hope and resilience along the way.
