Clara Maass Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, hosted players from the New Jersey Devils as they spread holiday cheer by visiting patients and caregivers.

Kyle Palmieri, Jon Merill, Sergey Kalinin and Keith Kinkaid visited Clara Maass Medical Center to spend time and make crafts with Pediatric patients. The hockey players also handed out New Jersey Devils lanyards, hockey pucks, t-shirts and posters.

Clara Maass was one of 10 RWJBarnabas Health facilities visited by the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday, December 13, as part of an annual tradition of the team visiting local medical centers dating back to 1982 – the Devils’ first season in New Jersey.

Earlier this year, RWJBarnabas became an official health care partner with the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center and unveiled the Center’s practice facility as the Barnabas Health Hockey House. The partnership focuses on unifying and inspiring the lives of families, neighbors and communities throughout the state. Barnabas Health Hockey House, the epicenter of youth and amateur hockey in New Jersey, provides nutrition and wellness programs developed by RWJBarnabas Health experts and House staff as well as programs that build confidence, sportsmanship and life skills.

RWJBarnabas Health and the New Jersey Devils also partner on a program that brings youth hockey clinics and wellness and nutrition education to players and coaches throughout New Jersey.
