For most children’s shelters and other Jersey Cares project partners, Halloween costumes do not make the list of essentials in the budget.
Every October, Jersey Cares helps to offset costume costs by collecting new and gently used costumes from generous volunteers, enabling children living in New Jersey’s shelters to have a Happy Halloween and enjoy the festivities that they see other children enjoying.
In 2014, nearly 750 costumes were distributed to children in New Jersey. For more information on the Jersey Cares Halloween Costume Drive visit their website.
f your office, club, or group of friends would like to conduct a drive, you can register on the Jersey Cares website. If you have any questions about hosting a collection drive, please contact Akeera Weathers at (973) 533-1993 or email@example.com
If you are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in need of children’s Halloween costumes, please fill out the agency application form. Unfortunately, they are not able to provide costumes to individuals. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact Akeera Weathers at firstname.lastname@example.org or 973-533-1993 ext. 32.
