behr-livingroom-blueprint-1535033256

It’s official: 2019 is all about the color blue — Blueprint, to be exact — at least according to Behr. The paint company revealed Blueprint S740-5, a warm, soft hue, as the brand’s 2019 Color Of The Year, describing the shade as “a mid-tone blue that charts a course for people to reimagine the colors and design of their home.” The paint company says it’s meant to signify authenticity, confidence, and timelessness. As far as blues go, this one’s pretty stunning — it feels cozy and inviting, but not overpowering.

Erika Woelfel, Behr’s vice president of color and creative services, called the shade an “instant classic,” adding that, “Much like the sketches builders rely on to bring an architectural design to life, Blueprint S470-5 lays a foundation for consumers to make their unique vision a reality.” Continue Reading >>>

COURTESY OF AMBER INTERIORS

via MyDomaine.com – The modern farmhouse décor style has seen a resurgence in recent years. Visions of loungey and lofty spaces with pitched roofs, reclaimed beams, deep cozy sofas, and small antique pieces are enough to make each of us want to buy a cabin in the woods and retreat from city life forever.

via A Beautiful Mess – We’re still hard at work on our studio house—one mini space at a time. This week we completed two small spaces (double yay!), and today we’re teaming up with Martha Stewart Living at The Home Depot to share a few tips for styling an entry space.

But first, I must confess. I’m the worst at mini spaces. You know the ones. Too small to be a room, but still in need of decor and organization. I put them off and eventually get used to their half-finished status. They’re my blind spot.

But not this time! This time things are different. And you know what? I’m loving it. Our new entry space is inviting and organized. Since it’s the first thing we see when we walk through those doors every morning, I think of this space as our friendliest spot in the house, always waving “hell-oo-ooo!”

Pale blues and serene greens can really change the mood of a space. No need to break out the paintbrush or buy a new sofa to get those peaceful, chill Spring vibes. Instead, focus on layering colored accents into your existing decor—adding a blue frame or candle on a living room console, placing a porcelain glass vase full of fresh flowers artfully on a mantel, and showcasing crystal topped containers can all enhance your room’s positive energy.

Fun Easter Decorating Ideas

1866709_originalHello everyone! How are you all doing today? Yesterday I decided to get out and start getting everything ready for Easter.

The best part of Easter at our home is the egg hunting. I might have more fun with that than the kids!  I really enjoy decorating our home for this time of the year but I like uncomplicated and easy Easter decorating ideas. I’m not sure about you, but I invest so much time and effort to decorate our home during Christmas that I don’t want to spend too much time and money with Easter decorations.

Like any kind of decor, I like to buy reusable things so I can collect them over the years. I also like to mix the reusable pieces with fresh flowers and plants to add more color and a more natural feel to the decor.

Take a look at these Easter Decorating Ideas. You’ll see that most of them are easy to do and they really won’t take much of your time.

I hope these Easter Decorating Ideas can inspire you to have an even more special Easter this year!
