According to https://www.tapinto.net one of LISC New Jersey’s signature Community Capacity Building programs, Newark Resident Leadership Academy, or NRLA, is NOW OPEN for applications! 

Launched in 2016, the program is a free 3-month training program offered to Newark residents who have demonstrated a history of active community involvement and a commitment to addressing priority issues. Each year the NRLA program features a well-rounded series of training workshops hosted by community engagement experts and practitioners which provide residents with training for organizational change, communication and presentation skills, leadership development, and engagement with local government. Neighborhood team members can expect to receive in-depth leadership training, small grant support for the team’s improvement project, community coaching, technical assistance, and more!
