NEWARK, NJ — According to http://patch.com Scarlette Manganti didn’t waste much time getting ready to greet the world on her first birthday.

Manganti has the distinction of being the first baby of 2024 born at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. She was born at 2:12 a.m. on Jan. 1, weighing in at a healthy seven pounds and five ounces and measuring 19.5 inches.

According to the hospital, her mother – Maria Manganti of Newark – is feeling good and can’t wait to bring her newest bundle of joy home to meet her two older brothers.
